1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using writemyfont (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service.

2. Description of Service

writemyfont is a web-based service operated at writemyfont.com that generates installable font files (TTF and OTF formats) from photographs of handwriting. The Service is provided by writemyfont.

3. Account Registration

• You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed to keep it current.
• You must notify us immediately at help@writemyfont.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Payments and Refunds

Free tier

You may generate one preview font at no charge. The free preview font includes a limited character set, regular weight only, and does not support customization or a custom font name.

Full font purchase

A full font is available for a one-time payment of $6.99 USD. The full font includes all characters (uppercase, lowercase, digits, and punctuation), regular and bold weights, per-letter customization tools, and a custom font name. The price is quoted in USD and may vary by region due to currency conversion.

Payment processing

All payments are processed securely by our payment processor. We do not store your card number or CVV.

Refund policy

Because font generation consumes substantial computing resources and delivers a digital product, all purchases are final once the generation process has begun. If you are not satisfied with the result, contact us at help@writemyfont.com and we will regenerate your font at no additional charge.

5. License Grant

Upon generating a font — whether free or paid — we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, install, reproduce, and distribute the generated font files for any purpose, including commercial use. This license is subject to your continued compliance with these Terms. If your account is terminated for a Terms violation, your license to fonts already downloaded survives termination.

6. Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the handwriting photos you upload and to the font files generated from them. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of generating your font. You represent and warrant that you own or have the right to use any handwriting you submit.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Upload images containing illegal content or content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying AI models
• Abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service or any infrastructure hosting the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable human use
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity

8. Intellectual Property

The writemyfont service, website, software, AI models, algorithms, and underlying technology are owned by writemyfont and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service itself. Your handwriting samples and the font files generated from them belong to you, as described in Section 5 and 6.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses, or that generated fonts will meet your specific requirements or be free of defects.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, writemyfont shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $10.00 USD.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or take actions harmful to the Service or other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at help@writemyfont.com. Upon closure, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Disputes

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation by contacting us at help@writemyfont.com. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
